Maria Deira grew up in the high desert of Eastern Oregon but now lives in the cozy gloom of the Willamette Valley. Her fiction has been published in A cappella Zoo, Fiction Southeast, Word Riot, GigaNotoSaurus, and Strange Horizons. She’s currently working on a novel.
