New to PodCastle?

Are you new to PodCastle? Interested in our back-catalogue? Wondering where to start? We’ve been around for nearly a decade so we’ve no shortage of stories to choose from! And sometimes too much choice is a curse, so here are some suggestions.

Note: you can always listen to any PodCastle story — for free — here on the website!

PC 001: Come, Lady Death by Peter S. Beagle –> Our first ever story was the classic “Come Lady Death” by fantasy giant Peter S. Beagle.

PC 008: The Osteomancer’s Son by Greg van Eekhout –> This story by Greg van Eekhout is set in his popular “California Bones” universe. In fact, it was from this short story that the “California Bones” trilogy sprang!

PC 092: Sir Hereward And Mr. Fitz Go To War Again by Garth Nix. –> The heroic knight and swordsman, Sir Hereward, ventures forth with his companion, the sorcerous puppet known as Mister Fitz, to track down a wayward force. By Garth Nix of “Sabriel” fame (amongst many others!)

PC 093: The Mermaid’s Tea Party by Samantha Henderson. Mermaids — not quite as cute as Ariel. Gives context to the term “fishy bitches”.

PC 106: Little Gods by Tim Pratt

PC136: The Christmas Mummy by Tim Pratt and Heather Shaw –> The first in what has become a PodCastle tradition: the December story by Tim Pratt and Heather Shaw.

PC 154: Sinners, Saints, Dragons, and Haints, in the City Under the Still Waters by NK Jemisin –>

PC 165: The Paper Menagerie by Ken Liu. A story about finding one’s traditions and familial love.

PC 200: In the Stacks by Scott Lynch –> Our rip-roaring 200th episode featuring a full-cast reading! Student magicians must try to make it through a most unusual magical library.

PC 211: The Axiom of Choice by David W. Goldman –> Like “Pick Your Own Adventure” style books? This one might change your mind, and make you think a little along the way.

PC 307: Out of the Deeps have I Howled Unto Thee by Scott M. Roberts  –> Easter Werewolf! But aside from that, what happens if you’re deeply religious, but also a werewolf?

PC 324: Without Faith, Without Law, Without Joy by Saladin Ahmed  –>

PC 341: Balfour And Meriwether In The Incident Of The Harrowmoor Dogs by Daniel Abraham –> You will not find better Holmesian Victoriana stories than the Balfour and Meriwether series. And this is one of the best. (we have a few more besides!)

PC 345: Makeisha in Time by Rachael K. Jones  –>

PC 339: Help Summon the Most Holy Folded One by Harry Connolly  –> A Kickstarter to… well… summon the Taco God. (Wait, there’s a Taco God?)
